HARTLAND — A Ridge Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday evening to report that his 2000 Ford Windstar had been stolen and then returned.
The man told patrol that sometime between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Sunday, the vehicle was taken from his property and then returned. The man said he found damage to the left front end of the vehicle and was told by a friend that it had been in a property damage accident while it was missing.
The complainant told patrol that the keys to the vehicle are always left inside it and that he could not provide any information on anyone he might have suspected took the Windstar.
The case was forwarded to the county's Criminal Investigations Bureau.
