TOWN OF LOCKPORT ― The Big Lots Store on South Transit Road was burglarized sometime between 10 p.m. Christmas Eve and 10:30 a.m. Friday.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, two storage containers were damaged and entered and a Buccaneer love seat was removed.
The store manager told patrol that she knows the containers were secured on Wednesday at 10 p.m., but when she looked Friday morning, one door on each container was wide open and the locking mechanism cut off.
The woman said there is nothing else missing and patrol observed no physical evidence at scene.
The total value of the damage to the doors and the missing love seat was estimated at approximately $1,100.
