Anna Marie Currie passed away December 12, 2014 in Briody Health Care Facility.

Born September 13, 1928 in Lockport, she was the daughter if the late Joseph and Mary (DiFranza) Vitone. Anna was predeceased by her husband Donald H. Currie and a daughter.

Anna retire in 1990 from Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors.  She was a past member of the Dale Association where she was awarded the Duncan Nixon Memorial Award for her volunteerism. She also was a HISTOP and a pen pal volunteer with the International Program, a member of St. Joseph’s Church in which she was raised at being that her family lived across the canal, she now was a member of All Saints Church.

Anna is the beloved mother of Marge (Dave) Parsons, Roseanne Gilland and Mary (James) Johnson; grandmother of David (Julie) Parsons, Douglas (Carie) Parsons and Nicole (Anthony) Re, Eric, Renee and Joseph Gilland, James (Tai) Johnson, Jacob and Joseph Johnson.  Also survived by 10 great grandchildren; sister of Theresa Buczkowski, Frances Golonka and the Late Rose Sposito and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Monday from 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 AM in All Saint’s Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport, NY. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.   Memorials to the Dale Association, Suite 315 Bewley Building, Lockport, NY 14094-2943 would be appreciated by the family.
