news@eastniagarapost.com
While the Lockport Police Department officially says that the investigation into a shooting that happened early this morning is "in the same investigative state," a source close to the investigation tells East Niagara Post that a "person of interest" is being interviewed at LPD headquarters.
The shooting, which occurred around 12:24 a.m. near the corner of Church and Grand streets, sent one person to the hospital. The male victim, identified as Lockport resident and former LHS student Colton Baker-Durst, was taken via Mercy Flight to ECMC.
The identity of the "person of interest" has not yet been revealed but the source says he is from Lockport.
