While snow accumulations, driving bans, and the closing of the New York State Thruway have caused disruptions in mail delivery and Post Office operations around the greater Buffalo area, service in East Niagara remains uninterrupted.

In most cities, towns and villages where driving bans are imposed, mail delivery is suspended and Post Offices are closed including:

  • Blasdell Branch, 4250 Lake Ave.
  • Broadway/Fillmore Station, 1035 Broadway
  • Cayuga Branch, 285 Cayuga Road
  • Lackawanna Branch, 683 Ridge Road
  • Southside Station, 2061 South Park Ave.
  • West Seneca Branch, 4300 Seneca St.

  • Alden Post Office
  • Angola Post Office
  • Athol Springs Post Office
  • Darien Center Post Office
  • Depew Post Office
  • Derby Post Office
  • East Aurora Post Office
  • Elma Post Office
  • Lakeview Post Office
  • Lancaster Post Office
  • Marilla Post Office
  • North Evans Post Office
  • Orchard Park Post Office
  • Springbrook Post Office
  • Wales Center Post Office

All other mail deliveries in the Buffalo area and surrounding areas will be attempted where there is safe access to roads and customers’ mail boxes, the postal service announced.

Customers are reminded to assist carriers by removing snow on driveways, walkways, porches, steps and around mailboxes when possible.

"The United States Postal Service is committed to restoring regular delivery and mail service as quickly as possible to customers in affected areas," according to Buffalo Postmaster Karen Mazurkiewicz.
