City of Lockport resident Chris McClune votes this morning at the Lockport Alliance Church on Davison Road. (STEPHEN M. WALLACE / CONTRIBUTOR) |
ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
Lockport voters have elected a Democrat to the Common Council, choosing, Anita Mullane for the 2nd Ward Alderman's seat.
Mullane bested Republican Patrick Feeley with 556 votes to Feeley's 534.
Mullane had the Democratic and Working Families party lines while Feeley had the GOP, Conservative and Independence lines.
With only 22 votes separating the two, a close watch will surely be kept on the official tally by the Board of Elections. All election night results are unofficial until the BOE validates them.
NOTE: Story edited at 11:38 p.m. to correct ward number.
