Susan P. Gartz Bewley passed away on Thursday October 23, 2014 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Buffalo on October 5, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Franklyn and Rose Marie Schwan Gartz.  She worked in retail for many years. Susan loved animals, gardening and spending time with her family and many friends.

Susan was the mother of Leslie Gartz of Lockport and Susan (Michael) Pietkiewicz of Buffalo; grandmother of Willa and Jackson Pietkiewicz; and sister of Steven E. (Diane) Gartz of Buffalo, Eugene F. (Bonnie) Gartz of Cheektowaga, William A. (Melissa) Gartz of Ossian, NY, James M. (Jennifer) Gartz of Darien Center, NY, Michael B. (Wendy) Gartz of Tonawanda and Martin D. (Cheryl) Gartz of Buffalo; Susan is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
