NEWFANE — A Main Street man was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday evening after failing to use a turn signal.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Roger Voorhees, 38, 2778 Main St., was stopped in a Howell Avenue driveway around 5 p.m. after turning into it without using his turn signal. He was found to have a suspended registration due to an insurance lapse and determined to be intoxicated. He submitted to a chemical breath test, which showed him to have a .15 percent blood alcohol content.
He was held at the Niagara County Jail on $250 bail and ordered to appear in Newfane Town Court on Tuesday.
