ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
The Kenan Arts Council will host a business lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kenan Center’s Taylor Theater Meeting Room, 433 Locust St. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch. Beverages will be provided.
Following the business meeting, the arts council will present a discussion by Brian Sayers, founder of the Tree Doctor, and an internationally known arborist.
Dr. Sayers earned his PhD in Philosophy at Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, was former chair of the Philosophy Dept. of Houghton College, Director of Interdisciplinary Studies, and chair of the Humanities Dept. In addition to his academic life, Dr. Sayers has had a long and illustrious career in arborist endeavors, has authored many publications, and given expert testimony in court on the subject. He is a tournament chess player – co-founder of the Amateur Chess Assoc. of WNY, volunteer with Friends of the Night People, and has home schooled two grandchildren.
Don’t miss this fascinating person who spent his teenage years in the Canadian woods, and then earned his way through his formal education. Ask your questions about landscaping, and growing things – from plants, to trees, to children, to chess, and back. This free program is open to the public and will be presented in the Taylor Theater, followed by dessert, coffee, tea and conversation.
