HARTLAND — A Hosmer Road woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies this morning that someone stole $5,000 cash from her purse last weekend.
The woman told patrol that she had the large sum of cash in her purse from the recent sale of land she owned, and had planned to deposit the money into her account on Monday.
She said there were three people in her home between Oct. 18 and Sunday, when the money went missing. She said that the three people at her home live in Orleans County and provided patrol with all of the contact information that she had available.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau for further investigation.
