MORRISVILLE — The Lockport Express won two of three games over the weekend in an East vs. West showcase at Morrisville State College.
First up, the Express won a 4-3 decision over the Cape Cod Islanders Saturday morning. They lost the second game of the day, however, 3-2 against the Maine Wild despite outshooting the Wild, 39-13.
This morning, the Express regrouped to beat the New England Stars 1-0 in a shootout.
Following this weekend's outings, the team has a 5-4 record.
Lockport's Junior A hockey team next plays Saturday at 7 p.m. at Cornerstone Arena, its first true home game of the season.
