TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A McIntosh Drive man pulled over just before 4 a.m. was charged with DWI and marijuana possession by Niagara County Sheriff's deputies.
According to the arrest report, John L. Hunt, 39, 93 McIntosh Dr., went over the curb when pulling over to the side of the road with the vehicle's passenger side tires on the lawn. He admitted to drinking alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. Police determined him to be intoxicated.
Prior to above vehicle being towed, patrol searched the vehicle and recovered a clear plastic bag which contained a green leafy substance along with a glass pipe, leading to the additional charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.
Hunt was transported to the Niagara County Jail with a police bail of $250. He is due in the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
