ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — October is Car Care Month and to celebrate, AAA East Central is offering free battery and electrical system checks to help motorists prepare for the winter driving season. Battery wellness clinics will be held at select AAA locations, including the Rochester Road office, throughout the month.
“Learning how to handle common maintenance issues is beneficial to anyone who gets behind the wheel,” said Steve Popovich, managing director of AAA East Central’s Auto Service Department. “Proper maintenance can extend the life of your vehicle, help prevent costly repairs, and retain your car’s resale value.”
At the battery wellness clinics, AAA’s Mobile Battery Service vehicles and technicians will be on hand to provide free, on-the-spot battery and electrical system check-ups. The Lockport clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 21 at 7135 Rochester Road.
You do not need to be a AAA member to participate in the battery clinics; however, AAA members qualify for a discounted price on a replacement battery if they should need one. Call 434-2865 for more details.
