WRIGHTS CORNERS — Wrights Corners responded to the report of a working barn fire at 3823 Lockport-Olcott Road around 7:45 a.m.
When firefighters rolled up, the barn fire was fully engulfed, and a new SUV parked by the barn was also on fire.
Miller Hose was also called into the scene to help fight the blaze.
"The barn, which is a total loss, contained a motor vehicle, tools, and lawn equipment," according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office. "The owner estimated barn and content damage at $70,000. Also damaged was a vehicle parked near the barn, and siding on the rear exterior of the homeowner's residence."
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Niagara County Origin and Cause.
