ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An East High Street woman went to her storage unit on Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday to find that the washer and dryer she had in storage were gone — and there were things in her unit that weren't hers.
The woman had fallen behind on her storage unit payment and had come in to catch up, according to the report. When she fell behind, the storage unit, The Storage Mall, 6680 Lincoln Ave., had replaced her lock on the unit with one of their own. The items inside were set to be auctioned off and as of Sept. 17, were still all in the unit. When the unit was opened on Wednesday, however, a Maytag washer and dryer were missing. The value of the items is approximately $1,800.
The woman had insurance on the unit in the amount of $2000.
