Team Depot, The Home Depot’s associate-led volunteer force, will work together with The Service Collaborative of WNY and S.E.R.V. Niagara on Sept. 11 to transform two Walnut Street homes.
The renovations at 571 and 589 Walnut Street will be completed in order to provide safe and comfortable homes to local veterans and their families. The homes will be used as programming locations to help tenants in becoming self-sufficient.
This local effort is a part of The Home Depot’s fourth annual Celebration of Service campaign, when Team Depot volunteers put their talents to work to transform more than 1,000 homes for veterans across the
country from Sept. 11 to Veterans Day.
Volunteer projects throughout the day will include interior and exterior renovations to S.E.R.V. Niagara homes located at 571 and 589 Walnut Street, landscaping and beautification to both properties. Home Depot has promised $31,000 in funding.
