NEWFANE — An Ellicott Road woman was charged with drug possession and traffic infractions after being stopped for driving without a license plate.
Brandie Jean Reese, 28, 7139 Ellicott Road, was stopped on Ridge Road at Coomer Road around 10 a.m. Tuesday. When NCSO checked DMV records, the vehicle's registration showed as suspended due to an insurance lapse. Reese's license was also found to be suspended and she was found to have an active warrant from the City of Buffalo,
She was taken into custody for aggravated unlicensed operation. While searching her vehicle, 19 hypodermic needles were found within the vehicle. A Fentanyl patch was also found in the vehicle in the passenger side door.
She was issued UTT's for no front plate, driving with a suspended license and with a suspended registration. She was also issued appearance tickets for criminal possession of a controlled substance and for possession of hypodermic instrument. She was taken to the Niagara County Jail and held on $250 bail. She was due in Town of Newfane Court on Tuesday.
