BUFFALO — The Buffalo Sabres, after sending nine players to their respective junior clubs earlier today, earned a 2-0 pre-season victory over the Carolina Hurricanes at First Niagara Center.
The Sabres' goals both came in the second period as Drew Stafford scored on a backhand shot past Carolina goaltender Drew MacIntyre at 11:52 and Tyler Ennis deflected a Drew Stafford shot at 18:08. Sabres' goaltender Jhonas Enroth had 35 saves in the win.
With the win, the Sabres improve to 1-1 on the six-game pre-season. The team next plays the Toronto Maple Leafs in Friday night at home.
