OLCOTT — A 38-year-old West Main Street woman was charged with marijuana possession Wednesday evening.
Diana J. Harrison, 5781 West Main St., was reported to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies as having attempted to sell drugs to a man near Olcott Beach around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Patrol located the vehicle Harrison was in turning onto Jackson Street and initiated a traffic stop on it. While interviewing the three parties in the vehicle, Harrison said, "I am not going to jail for this little bag of weed." She then reached into her shirt/bra and pulled out a clear plastic bag that contained a small amount of marijuana, according to the NCSO report.
Harrison was issued an appearance ticket for unlawful possession of marijuana, returnable to the Town of Newfane Court on Sept. 24. The evidence was secured into an NCSO property locker.
