ENP STAFF REPORTS

NEWFANE — An Ellicott Road woman looked out onto her back porch to find a shirtless man around 3:15 a.m., according to a report filed with the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The woman told patrol that she was sleeping on the couch in the living room of her residence when she heard a noise on the back porch. The dog began to bark, which caused her to be concerned. She then went into her kitchen and observed through the window an unknown male standing on the enclosed back porch.
The man was described as white, approximately five-feet, 10-inches tall, with a thin build, shaved blonde hair, wearing black mesh shorts, white shoes with no socks, and no shirt.
She said once she observed the unknown male, she grabbed a large knife, at which point, the male exited the porch and proceeded on foot towards the front of the residence to Ellicott Road. She said there was no communication between her or the male.
No items were missing from the residence, according to the report. Patrol observed no signs of forced entry. Patrol checked around the residence for any signs of foot markings in the wet grass with negative results.
The woman was reminded to keep all doors of the residence secured and told that patrol would continue periodic checks throughout the remainder of the night.
