ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Town of Lockport woman was charged Sunday with stealing $52.10 worth of makeup from Dollar General, 5921 South Transit Road.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office report, Lisa Paladino, 19, 5702 Aaron Dr., was seen by Dollar General staff putting the items into her purse around 3:46 p.m. Sunday.
A store employee "approached the female and asked for the items back," according to patrol, to which "the female replied, 'no.'"
Patrol interviewed Paladino, who "she had no intention of stealing the items and that they just fell into her purse somehow."
Patrol watched the video surveillance and observed Paladino intentionally concealing the items into her purse, according to the report.
Paladino was charged with petit larceny and taken to Niagara County Jail where she was held on $500 bail and ordered to appear in Town of Lockport Court this evening.
