OLCOTT — A Willowbrook Drive man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that while he was fishing in Olcott, someone stole numerous items from his unlocked car.
The man said he parked his car in a parking lot around 10 p.m. Wednesday and went out in his boat fishing. When he returned around 11:30 p.m., he discovered multiple items missing from inside the vehicle and the trunk. The items included a Pioneer P-3200 head unit, a white Apple iPod, a gray colored Downrigger fishing rod, a black colored Center fishing rod, a fishing reel, a black colored Bass fishing rod, a tan colored Gander Mountain fishing vest, and a pair of Frog Togs Weighters, totaling $1,235 in value.
The complainant said he had seen a man suspiciously walking around the lot where his car was. He knew the identity of the man and gave police his name. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
