ENP STAFF REPORTS

GASPORT — A resident of the 8800 block of Chestnut Ridge Road told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone stole an $800 generator from a shed on his property.
The man told patrol that an unknown person or people took the door off the shed and propped it up against the deck of the house. He said he had purchased the generator approximately eight years ago from The Home Depot, but he could not remember what brand it was or its size, but stated that it was red and had wheels. He further stated that the motor to the generator was a Briggs and Stratton.
Patrol checked the property and other out-buildings for any other signs of attempted entry, but there was no other evidence. Patrol advised him to call if there was anything further that he could remember about the stolen generator and requested periodic checks in the area during the overnight hours.
