ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A notice this morning from the Lockport Community Market says the market is canceled today due to the weather — but some vendors decided to set up anyway.
"We have a few folks who still wanted to set up today," according to the market's Facebook page. "If you're looking for produce or breads or baked goods, stop down to the market. They'll be here!"
"We've probably got 10 to 12 vendors who are setting up today," Community Market organizer Heather Peck said this morning by phone.
She added that today's featured performer, the Buffalo Dolls, will still be performing at 11 a.m., as well.
The Buffalo Dolls are a female vocal trio, singing the hits of the 1940s, '50s & '60s in the style of The Andrews Sisters. Members of the Dolls – Rusty Droz, Donna Kerr, and Carolyn Unitas Roos — are Western New York music educators who founded the group in 2013.
The market normally operates every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. through the end of September.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Story edited at 9:08 a.m. to add that Buffalo Dolls will still perform.
