Carol Miller
Lockside Art Center and the Niagara County Historical Museum will host "Paleolithic Art, an Overview" from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Niagara County History Museum, 215 Niagara St.

By popular request, Carol Miller has prepared a one-night review of her original five-week Paleolithic Art session discussing the sudden appearance of art approximately 35,000 years ago.

Topics include cave paintings from the well-known caves of Altamira, Lascaux, and Chauvet, as well as a few lesser-known caves. The review will also include etchings, carvings, portable art and the popular Venus figures. Some new information from Miller’s continued research will also be included.

Miller is a retired microbiologist, having worked in clinical and veterinary medicine, sales, and clinical instruction. She has given classes on Paleolithic Art at Market Street Art Center and at the Kenan Center, and gave a four-week session on World Rock Art at the History Museum this spring

Classes are free and are very casual. Registration is not required and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

For more information, call Miller at 433-0259.
