The Lockport Rampage finished their NFA season this past Saturday with a 22-0 victory over the Southern Tier Diesel in Olean. The win caps off an undefeated regular season as the Rampage finish 10-0 in NFA play (11-0 overall).  The Rampage sit alone at the top of the NFA West as the only undefeated team in the conference and will be the number 1 seed when the playoffs begin in September.

The Rampage defense recorded their fourth shutout of the season and held the Diesel to 72 net yards of offense.  DT Ray Barker led the defense with seven tackles (four solo), two TFLs, and a QB hit. The Lockport linebackers had an active day: Cliff McDowell had six tackles, two TFLs, a fumble recovery, and a pass defensed; Tom Covey added 6 tackles (4 solo) and 2 TFLs; Marcus Wyche recorded 5 tackles, a half a sack, and two QB hits; Isaiah Johnson had the lone interception on the day in addition to recording two tackles. Safety Ron Dixon chipped in with five tackles, a pass defensed, and a forced fumble that lead to a Rampage touchdown; Safety AJ Cleveland picked up the fumble forced by Dixon and returned it 26 yards for the score late in the third quarter (Cleveland had three tackles and forced a fumble himself as well). DE David Gross had five tackles, one TFL, and a QB sack; from the other side of the defensive front, DE Al Scott recorded four tackles and a tackle for a loss.

Offensively, the Rampage rushing attack accumulated 226 yards on the night.  RB Tewaine Pannel led the way with 14 carries for 101 yards (7.21 yards per carry) and a touchdown.  Kodell Jones ran the ball nine times for 56 yards, and Terrence Owens added 39 yards on seven rushes. QB James Celotto had an efficient day through the air, going seven-of-17 passing for 88 yards and a touchdown; Celotto also ran the ball seven times for 28 yards. WR Nick Peterson had three catches for 56 yards and WR Darrel Keith caught a 15 yard TD pass from Celotto.  WR Reggie Seawright added two catches for 14 yards.

The Rampage are the first team in the modern era of semi-pro football in Lockport to finish the regular season undefeated, and the first team since the 1990s to finish a regular season at first place in their conference.  The Rampage will next play at home at Exchange Field on Sept. 13.
