BUFFALO — A Lockport motorcyclist is in critical condition at the Erie County Medical Center following a serious accident in Pendleton on Monday.
According to New York State Police, Nicholas C. Batt, 33, was southbound on Campbell Boulevard as he approached the intersection of Beach Ridge Road. A northbound vehicle attempted to turn onto Main Road in front of his bike.
"Batt was unable to avoid the collision and struck the vehicle, which was driven by Michelle J. Hillbrecht, 40, of Lockport," state police said.
Batt was taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight with multiple injuries.
Charges are pending, as the investigation is ongoing, according to police. Assisting on the scene were Wendelville Fire Dept. and the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
