TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An inmate at the Niagara County Jail is now facing additional charges after corrections officers say he had marijuana in his underwear.
According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Tony L. Moore, 32, 1657 Niagara Ave., Niagara Falls, was found with a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance in his underwear around 6:45 p.m. Thursday. The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana.
More was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree promoting prison contraband. He was transported to the Town of Lockport Court and arraigned by Judge Antkowiak before being transported back to the jail where bail was set at $1,000
The suspected marijuana was sent to the NCSO lab for further testing. Moore is due back in Lockport Court on Thursday morning.
