HARTLAND — A Checkered Tavern Road woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Wednesday that someone stole $295 from her unlocked car overnight.
The woman told patrol that she had left the money in her wallet, which was in her purse, which she left in her car in her driveway at around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday. When she checked her car at 5:53 a.m. Wednesday, it was gone.
The woman told police that her purse was exactly where she left it in the vehicle and that the only item missing was the cash.
She was unable to provide patrol with any possible suspects.
