He graduated in 1942, fourth in his class from Lockport High School and then went on to graduate from Alfred University.

His first job was at the family owned business, the Lockport City Poultry Market. He was later employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and retired from Harrison Radiator Division of GMC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Amelia "Amy" (DiVincenzo) Tomaselli. The couple was married November 24, 1949, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. He was the beloved father of Carol Santangelo (Steven), Linda Passuite (Thomas), Mary Beth Vosler (Richard), and Lisa Gretz (Chad). He took pride in his grandchildren and they brought great joy to his life. He was the cherished grandfather of Mark Santangelo (Sonya), Tricia Dreher (Joseph), Jennifer LaFrance (Michael), Carly, Jamison and Mallory Passuite, and Matthew and Ryan Vosler. He was also loved by his great-grandchildren, Leah and Ethan. He was the dear brother of Laura Jean Cleri Note and brother-in-law of Rita DellaPenna, and the late Nicholas DiVincenzo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was a member of All Saints Parish. He was at one time a member of the Knights of Columbus, Exempt Volunteer Fire Co., and Elks Club. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling. Most of all he looked forward to having Sunday dinner with his entire family.
