ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A beer blast fundraiser from 8-11 tonight at The Dugout bar on South Transit Road aims to raise funds for a Lockport man in need of a double lung transplant.
Thirty-three year old Frank Gritzmacher, son of Albert Gritzmacher and Bronwen Everett, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. The doctors at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York recommended the potentially life-saving lung transplant.
Enter Frank's friends — or Team Frank, as they call themselves. They're looking to raise $30,000 to put towards that transplant. Tonight's fundraiser is the first big step towards that goal.
Team Frank is a group ranging from public relations specialists and non-profit professionals to salesman, cooks, and mechanics. They have banded together to help give Frank a second chance on life with a pair of lungs that will not only allow him to live longer, but to live with quality days.
Tickets for tonight's fundraiser are $25 at the door. There will be a buffet, open bar, beer pong tournament, and 50/50 split tickets.
