OLCOTT — The annual Old Olcott Days is noon to 5 p.m. today and Sunday.
The annual event features free historic narrated trolley tours for up to 20 people at a time, pointing out to passengers what used to be in days gone by.
Memorabilia, photos, and post cards of Olcott's glory days will be on display at Olcott Carousel Park, where there will also be a Skee Ball challenge, Coney Island Hot Dogs, and a showing of the movie: “I Remember Olcott.”
The event is sponsored by the Olcott Beach Post Card Club, Images of the Past, and the Town of Newfane. For more information, call 778-8284.
Also this weekend, a Band Organ Rally will presented by the Carousel Organ Association of America featuring a sight and sound spectacular and nearly 100 instruments built in the USA, England, France, Holland and Germany.
Merry-Go- Round organs, European Fairground organs and hand-cranked Street Organs brought by collectors from as far away as Maine and Florida will delight and entertain, playing all kinds of music ranging from Classical to Rock and Roll and everything in between.
The Band Organ rally is part of the annual Old Olcott Days weekend and will take place in Krull Park and throughout the town from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
