TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A 67-year-old Lockport woman was charged with driving while impaired after New York State Police say they saw her drive out of a ditch on Bowmiller Road and then cross the the center line.
According to the arrest report, Carol Clare was found to have a strong odor of alcohol coming from her and was unable to complete some of the directed field sobriety tests when she was interviewed by patrol.
She was placed under arrest and transported to the Lockport Troopers' barracks, where a breath test was administered and a blood alcohol content reading of .06 percent was obtained.
Clare was charged with driving while ability impaired and other vehicle and traffic violations. She is directed to appear in the Town of Lockport Court on Aug. 5.
