RANSOMVILLE — A Beebe Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies this morning that his truck was damaged Wednesday night at Ransomville Speedway.

The complainant told patrol that his truck was parked in a parking lot at the speedway from 6 p.m. Wednesday until around 1:30 this morning. There was a dent on the tailgate, and the plastic molding was removed from the top of the tailgate and around the tailgate handle. He believes the unknown person possibly used one of the wood logs inside of the bed of his truck to cause the damage and remove the plastic molding.

The complainant told patrol that he has never had any issues at the Ransomville Speedway, however, his son is a driver and made another driver upset about 2 weeks ago, so this was possibly retaliation. He stated the racing stickers on the rear window of his vehicle identify the vehicle as either belonging to his son or a family member, so the unknown person may have been targeting the vehicle.

The man told patrol he would return to Ransomville Speedway to see if he could locate the missing plastic molding, and would notify police if he found it. The cost of damage is unknown at this time. The investigation is closed pending new information.
