Nancy M. Baldwin |
Mrs. Baldwin was married for over 30 years to her late husband, John Baldwin. Born in England, he became a U.S. citizen when he emigrated for a position with Bell Aerospace. Subsequently, he was professor of computer education at Niagara County Community College, in Sanborn NY. A model train enthusiast, he belonged to a number of related organizations and was a member of MENSA. He died in 2000.
Mrs. Baldwin is survived by two children, Richard Arnold, of Rochester NY and Kathy Ann Gagliardi (nee Arnold) of Lockport. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Gagliardi, Christopher Gagliardi and Sarah (Matt) Maloney and one great-grandchild, all of Lockport.
Mrs. Baldwin was especially committed to helping young women who were victims of domestic abuse and gave selflessly to people who were homeless. She loved music of all types and was especially fond of the big band sound and show music.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 3 between 10 and 11 AM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport NY, where a memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be private. Flowers are gratefully declined. In support of Mrs. Baldwin’s charitable interests, memorials may be made to the domestic violence prevention program at the YWCA of Niagara, 32 Cottage Street, Lockport NY or Lockport Cares, an emergency homeless shelter, 192 Genesee Street, Lockport NY.
