ENP STAFF REPORTS

MIDDLEPORT — A North Hartland Street man reported Monday to Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that someone entered his home between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday without his permission.
The man told patrol that it appears the unknown person entered the house through a side door, which he says was locked when he left the residence but was found open upon his return to the residence.
The man told patrol that some items on the front porch that belonged to his estranged wife were taken, as was his radio from his bedroom. He had not gone through the entire house as of speaking to patrol to know how much was taken.
He could not state for certain who had entered his house, but suggested it may have been his estranged wife. Patrol tried to make contact with the woman, however she did not return patrol's phone calls.
The department closed the case due to a lack of evidence and pending further information.
