ENP STAFF REPORTS

GASPORT — A Middleport man's windshield was cracked late Friday night when an oncoming car threw something at it.
According to a report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, the complainant was traveling north on Hartland Road when "a vehicle in the oncoming lane threw what he believed to be a water balloon at his vehicle, striking the windshield."
Patrol observed the driver side of the windshield to be damaged with multiple cracks spreading across the entire windshield and the vehicle to be covered in water.
The complainant said that he was unable to see what kind of vehicle the object was thrown from due to the vehicle having its high beams on and that it continued south on Hartland Road.
Patrol was unable to search for the suspect vehicle due to the lack of description. This case is closed pending further information.
