Lorraine M. Milstead, age 87 of Lockport, passed away on Saturday July 12, 2014, at home under the care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Lorraine was born in Lockport on August 4, 1926, daughter of the late Earl and Christine (Redhead) Rowland. She is predeceased by her husband, Marion (Bud) Milstead and brothers, Wilbur Rowland and Carl Rowland.

She was retired from the Lockport School District where she worked as a lunch monitor at North Park Middle and Lockport Senior High Schools. Lorraine was an avid reader and loved to crochet gifts for her family.

She was predeceased by her eldest son, David Milstead. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Mark (Caroline) Milstead of Barker, Gary Milstead of Lockport, Sue Milstead of Lockport, Marcia (Charles) Wollaber of Sanborn, and her puppy dog Dolly. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Harley Milstead, Dawn Flores, Damon Milstead, Eric Milstead, Cody Milstead, Ryan Milstead and eleven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Tuesday July 15th from 3 to 7 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.  Flowers in loving memory are welcome.  A private interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
