Kevon L. Sykes, 24, 131 Caledonia St., Apt. 3, was charged around 2:45 a.m. with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. According to the LPD arrest report, Sykes was seen by patrol inside a local convenience store and known to have a warrant for his arrest. When he was taken into custody, he was found to have a clear white baggie containing cocaine, the report said. He is to be arraigned Monday morning in City Court. The cocaine was placed in an evidence locker at LPD.
