TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A juvenile charged Friday with stealing $60.52 worth of items from Tops was charged Saturday with another count of petit larceny for allegedly stealing shoes and Chapstick from Walmart.
The accused was seen on Walmart security cameras placing a four-pack of Chapstick in his pocket then exchanging the shoes he was wearing for new shoes and walking out of the store without paying for them, according to a report from the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
The arrest report notes than when the youth was charged with the larceny from Tops, he was asked about his shoes because they looked new and he responded that he had gotten them from a friend.
Patrol advised the juvenile's father Saturday of the additional charge.
