GASPORT — An 18-year-old Gasport resident was charged late Wednesday night with unlawful possession of marijuana after police were called to a report of a "suspicious person walking in the roadway and stopping in front of various houses."
Joseph S. Hillman, 4537 Main St., was found at around 10:06 p.m. to be carrying a glass pipe commonly used with narcotics, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office report, which added, "a check of the string backpack he was wearing yielded cloths, a hack sac ball, iPhone box and phone and a clear plastic bag of green leafy substance believed to be marijuana."
Hillman was released on an appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Royalton Court on August 5. The leafy substance and pipe were seized for further processing.
