Emmanuel United Methodist Church is holding a community block party Wednesday evening.
The rain-or-shine event will include music, prizes, food and games from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the church, 75 East Ave.
The church will also hold its annual Vacation Bible School from 4-7 p.m. daily from Sunday through July 31. The theme for the year is "Weird animals: Where Jesus' love is one of a kind."
VBS is for children from pre-school age to 8th grade. Supper is included.
