MIDDLEPORT — A resident in the 9000 block of Townline Road told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Friday morning that sometime between July 5 and Tuesday, someone stole $500 worth of copper from his barn.
The man told patrol that he noticed a few things were out of place, and drawers and cabinets appeared to have been gone through, in the west barn on his property. He stated two boxes of miscellaneous copper fittings and valves were taken, valued at approximately $500.
The complainant said he was going to check a few local scrap yards to see if his property was brought there. Patrol advised him to call back if he locates any property at the scrap yards.
The investigation is closed pending new information.
