TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Robinson Road pizzeria was burglarized by an unknown person or people late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, someone appears to have thrown a large piece of asphalt through the entry doors of Stevie V's, 6318 Robinson Road, smashing both doors and doing $1,000 damage in the process. The assailant then took about $100 cash out of the cash register and fled. The burglary happened sometime between 11 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Stevie V's employees and a regular customer all told NCSO that there was a suspicious acting person at the restaurant shortly before closing time.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Bureau for further investigation.
