GASPORT — A Rochester man who told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies he was on his way home from the Seneca Niagara Casino early Saturday morning took a brief detour to the Niagara County Jail.
Kenneth J. Gula, 50, 120 Berkshire Dr., Rochester was stopped on Ridge Road near Hartland Road around 12:44 a.m. Saturday after patrol said they observed him swerving his BMW on the roadway.
After failing field sobriety tests, patrol placed Gula into custody for driving while intoxicated and transported him to Niagara County Sheriff's Office where he was given an blood alcohol test. It showed a blood alcohol content of .14 percent.
Gula was held on $250 bail.
