Moe Sharian stands behind the counter at Kwik Stop
this afternoon.
When Moe Sharian was thinking of where he wanted to open his first business, he firmly decided on Lockport.

"I like the atmosphere here," the 24-year-old Buffalo man said.

Sharian originally hails from Michigan. He moved to Buffalo four years ago.

His endeavor, Kwik Stop, 39 Locust St., aims to be a one-stop-shop for area residents to get everything from snacks and smokes to clothes and cell phones — eventually.

This afternoon Moe and his uncle — also Moe — were stocking the shelves with canned goods, cereal, candies and more.

The store at the corner of Locust and Walnut streets will be adding a kitchen, as well, serving subs, pizza and the like.

The store will be open from 7 a.m. until midnight during the week and even later on the weekends, in order to offer a place for the late-night bar crowd to satisfy their cravings.

The front counter — stocked with candy — was custom built for the new store.

East Niagara Post is now on FourSquare. Add us as a friend to see where we're at.
