A 24-year-old Gasport man was charged this morning with grand larceny, falsifying business records, and offering a false instrument for filing after he was determined to have collected unemployment benefits he wasn't entitled to.
According to the New York State Police and the New York State Department of Labor, Dustin J. Hall, of State Street, Gasport, had collected over $10,000 in unemployment benefits while he was gainfully employed in Lockport.
He was arraigned before the City of Lockport Court and was remanded to the Niagara County Jail where he is currently serving a sentence on an unrelated case.
