ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A flash flood watch is in effect through midnight for portions of Western New York including East Niagara.
Showers and thunderstorms developed in a warm and humid airmass this afternoon resulting in torrential downpours. Rain may fall at a rate of one to two inches per hour for the next two hours.
A flash flood watch means the threat of flash flooding exists along rivers and creeks. If you are in the watch area, you should monitor weather closely and be ready to move to higher ground if flooding is observed or a warning issued.
