WRIGHTS CORNERS — A Niagara Falls man was charged with child endangerment Wednesday night after police say he let his four-year-old daughter walk in the middle of Day Road with traffic oncoming.
According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Jedidiah J. Aiken, 28, 21 C St., Niagara Falls, was seen walking down Day Road near Wheeler Road with another adult male yelling at his daughter and trying to flag down cars.
When police arrived, they saw Aiken in the roadway pushing a juvenile female in a toy push car. He told patrol that he was just taking his daughter for a walk.
Two witnesses, however, say the daughter had gotten out of the push car and was wandering around the roadway unsupervised, and going into and out of oncoming traffic.
Aiken was taken into custody for endangering the welfare of a child and taken to Niagara County Jail where he was held on $500 bail. He is due on Town of Newfane Court on Tuesday.
The juvenile's mother responded to the scene to take custody of the child and a copy of the police report was sent to Child Protective Services.

This guy is running rampant in Wrights Corners. Needle user, pan handler, cops know him well, but he always seems to walk.
