A 29-year-old Buffalo man was charged today with the Tuesday morning shooting of a man on Spalding Street.
Anthony Ervin, 8 Warren St., Buffalo, was charged by the Lockport Police Department with first-degree assault with intent to cause serious injury and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Ervin stands accused of shooting a 44-year-old man in the leg around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Spalding Street near Washburn Street. The victim was taken to the Erie County Medical Center where was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released, according to LPD.
Ervin was arraigned today in Lockport City Court and then taken to Niagara County Jail.
